Angola’s 30,000 barrels per day (bpd) Cabinda Refinery is ready for phase 1

Angola’s 30,000 barrels per day (bpd) Cabinda Refinery is ready for #pipeinsulation and final #testing before #nitrogen preservation, according to VFuels Oil and Gas Engineering who delivered the facility’s crude distillation unit (CDU) last year.

Recent weeks have seen progress on several fronts, including the assembly and installation of Tulsa Heaters Midstream's heaters and several installation milestones achieved by contractor OEC Angola.

The Cabinda Refinery is part of Angola’s multi-project strategy to boost refining capacity and meet domestic and regional demand for petroleumproducts.

While phase 1 will have a capacity of 30,000 bpd, the project involves a second phase with an additional 30,000 bpd to be added in the future.
