Mr. Shigela Josephat Malosha is a senior geologist with more than fifteen years of experience in the petroleum industry. He started his career with Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) in the capacity of Exploration Geophysicist. He worked under this field for four years and later transformed to the position of Exploration Geologist within the Corporation. He then joined the Petroleum Upstream Regulatory Authority as a Director of Contracting and Licensing. Mr. Malosha is now responsible for coordinating and managing licensing round process of the petroleum exploration blocks, preparing licensing strategies and promote areas for licensing, coordinating issuance, extension, surrender, cancellation, renewal of the exploration license, coordinating preparation of bidding documents and coordinating the renewal of Model Production Sharing Agreements (MPSA) at PURA. He holds a BSc. (Hons) in Geology from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and MSc. in Petroleum Geosciences from the Adelaide University, Australia.
