Senior Technical Advisor GIZ

Ansuya works as a Senior Technical Advisor in the South African German Energy Program at GIZ. She is an expert in the field of energy, holding a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Her core focus is on Power Sector Reform and Just Energy Transition, specializing in policy and regulation. She has provided technical advisory services on a wide variety of projects, predominantly centred around the unbundling of Eskom, private sector participation in the electricity supply industry, and the reform of the electricity distribution industry. She is passionate about creating a more sustainable and equitable energy landscape in South Africa.
