Nillian N. Mulemi
Chief Executive Officer Petroleum Training and Education Fund
Nillian has managed Namibia’s Oil and Gas Training Fund for over 22 years. She joined the Petroleum Training and Education Fund in 2002. During this period, she has overseen the implementation of interventions that have enabled the country to train Namibia’s oil and gas workforce in fields of studies that supported hydrocarbon exploration work programs.
With the Q1 of 2022, 2023 and most recently Q1 of 2024 discoveries of oil and gas in the Orange Basin offshore Namibia, Nillian is spearheading the Government of the Republic of Namibia’s implementation of its upstream local content strategies through multifaceted interventions to rump up the training and deployment of Namibians in the lucrative oil and gas industry in preparation for the eminent production of the discovered reserves as well as supporting the participation of Namibians in the oil and gas supply chains.
In addition, Nillian serves as AAPG African Region President for the duration 2024 to 2025.
Nillian holds an MSc. in Finance from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, UK, B .Degree in Accounting and B.Juris from the University of Namibia and Nat.Dip in Cost Accounting from the Namibia University of Science and Technology. In 2017 Nillian attended and completed the Harvard Business School Executive Program for Africa.
